Scanner/Printer Conflict

I have a visioneer 6100b Scanner and a xerox duc11. I cannot printer if the scanner is loaded and I cannot scan when the printer is on. I install a data box that switches from one to another. The first time I use it it worked. Now the printer prints but the scanner will not load. I do not have another 25 pin port, only a 15. I need help!!!!! Also when the scanner screen comes up, it is in the upper part of the monitor and you cannot see the title bar.

I don't know what the problem is, but there is a solution. If you have any isa or pci slot open, go get a parallel port card to add another lpt port. Then you get a dedicated printer port (25pin) for each device.

As for the window, right click the program in your taskbar, and chose "move". Then you will be able to move the scanner program down so you can see it.
