Scanning Bills

I want to scan by Bills. However, I am wondering how can I save two file as one? Get what I mean?

Which means, say I got AT&T Page 1 and AT&T Page 2 and I want to save the file name as AT&T Jan. When I double click on AT&T Jan, I want both file to open.

I am using PaintShop Pro. I got this idea because if you use Windows 2000 to fax multiple documents, it would be save as one file but when you clck on the file, two images would open up.

Anyone?

Simple solution (maybe dumb to)

Open up file #1 in a paint type program (one that can make a image copy if the scanned image)
Select the complete scanned image and copy it to clipboard
Open up file #2.
Paste in the clipboard contents from file #1, Do not overwrite the file #2 image
Save new image (2 scanned images) as file #3.

I thuoght of that.. but I am wondering are there any specific way to do my way? Microsoft Fax did that.. Why can't I?

I would save each page of the bill and save it as a layer. That way, you just select the layer you want to see and print it. That's my opinion.

Paperport Deluxe can scan multi-page documents directly into a single multi-page TIFF file, that can be read with the Imaging program that comes with Windows.

Yes!! That is what I am looking for but can we do it straight on PaintShop Pro so that I don't need to purchase the software?

Sorry, I don't use PSP so I can't help you there. I'll bump the thread for you though, maybe someone knows of a plugin for PSP that can do this for you...

Get OmniPage Pro, the latest if you can, and try that. Honestly it is great and I do things very similar to you. For each class I have, I keep a record of all my assignments that are returned. I scan each page into a running PDF file so I can add to it at any time. Plus the PDF format works out pretty good..

adobe acrobat 5 will do that, use it all the time
