I read this as cat on LCD also. Maybe we are too computer oriented. That is some scary ******.. it almost looks like the cat is being forced down onto the ground by some invisible force.

But why would they do this?

I'm all for fair treatment of animals but if they have to hit a monkey in the head with a hammer or have a cat trip out on LSD to find a cure for something, then im all for it.

That reminded me of my cat's last few hours before it died from food poisoning (so said the vet) - actually, it's condition deteriorated drastically after we took it to the vet and the dude gave it a shot of sedatives.

The kitty lost all motor senses. One of its legs finally regained consciousness and it totally flipped out and kept dragging/hurling itself (violently) all over the room with that one leg. Saddest 5-6 hours of it's life before it went cold.

This reminded me of that

Wow what did it eat?
I can't imagine that happening to my cat

I have no idea. The vet said that 'maybe' the cat got its hands on some rotten meat in the trash or something like that but it sounded real far off. The lil guy (was barely 5 months old) was very well fed and we kept any potentially harmful things out of its reach.

My mom had this theory that maybe the kitty ODed on the shot of sedatives (like the vet screwed up and gave it a strong dose?) but we really didn't know what to make of it.

I miss that little critter though, no doubt. He was fun.

To be honest, I thought it was hilarious. The fidgeting cat was already quite funny, but the trippy background music made it all the better.

Animal testing in general is necessary to make advancements people take for granted.

I have a problem with this simply because the cat has no say in what is going to happen to it. Food is one thing. I think food should be raised well, taken care of, and killed as painlessly as possible. But for testing, we have tons of people in this country who can make a decision to be tested on. Prisoners, people with terminal deseases, etc. Why torture a animal with no say in what happens to it?

If you think you might have a cure for aids, I bet there are hundreds of people with aids willing to test things that might kill them or worse.

Don't really understand THAT...

It is a shame that this is tested on animals, but would I kill 1,000,000 cute cats if it could save one human life.?
Yes ..

You say that, but I don't believe you. There are a lot of things you could do a lot easier than killing one million cats that WOULD save a human life but I bet you are not doing them...

I have cats, I like all kinds of animals, and I hate the idea of animal testing.. what is hard to understand about that?

Well for one, killing 1000000 cute cats really wont save anyone, and who are you to say that I havnt done 50 other things in my life that have indirectly saved human life... you think I've never volunteered? helped the homeless? donated to feed people overseas? paid taxes to a government that is constantly involved in humanitarian efforts? (though i guess on that note my taxes have helped kill people too)

Ok, nvm finally got in. Wow that is disturbing. I'm not super fond of cats but even that sickens me to watch. Poor cat spazzed out.
