Well, I got my Sceptre setup tonight and the DVI / PC performance seems very nice, no pixel defects, looks good. But, I am having problems with my HDMI input, and a sort of bright then dark then brignt behavior with video. It is very strange but there is also a sort of variable banding on blacks that seems to flicker on and off.
I am using a DVI to HDMI cable from my Comcast / Motorola box, and the monitor picks up and indicates HDCP 1080i, then flips to snow, then back, then to snow, then back. Flips about every second. When it is showing Tv it looks great, but obviously something is wrong. Tried both my cable boxes, same effect. Tried 720p, same effect. Tried cold booting the motorola boxes, same effect.
So I think I have bum electronics, which irritates me because the panel is perfect. ANyone else having similar problem / fix? Would like keep the perfect panel... and for the time being this monitor's feature set fits my needs exactly.
