Nice resolution, tho im hesitant on the quality.

It can do 1080i full scale, which is nice because a lot of the cheaper plasmas and lcds do not have that resolution yet.

Any reviews on this guy?

wow, I like the specs on this TV, does anyone know of any reviews for it?

It says its 1080p, does it take 1080p input signals or just upconvert?

Do they have this in store also ? I just got a 42" samsung dlp a couple of weeks ago but this looks hotter with the higher resolution.
And it also has bot hdmi and dvi ports. The dlp only has hdmi and was $50 more. I got it at cc so I should be able to take it back still.
Can anyone that has this to comment on it ? Want to know if it would be worth the hassle.

Sceptres don't have the best LCD picture quality, but being Costco... you can take it back anytime for whatever reason.

And possibly bluray when it comes out. its not official it'll be supported but rumored.

And I'd suspect that the next gen game consoles may support it too.

Would love to except they offered up a coupon for this earlier this year, so I'm holding off.

I think larger 1080p LCD panels will be the norm pretty soon anyways.

I know someone who actually uses one of these for a computer monitor and he loves it supposedly. I saw a pic of him playing HL2 and it was massive and crystal clear. I don't know if that helps at all.

both of these monitors have their pluses and minus. They both work great as a PC monitor. The Westinghouse has more Inputs while the Sceptre has a built in OTA HD Tuner. One minus about the Sceptre, I hear the speakers built into it are not to hot.

Deal for the Westinghouse is now Dead!

The Sceptre also has HDMI inputs, while the Westinghouse is DVI, which makes the Spectre better for one-plug-does-it-all use.

I wouldn't worry about it. The prices for these things are coming down, and they'll hit $1500 soon enough.

My 19" Sceptre lcd monitor is amazing, I love it. I don't know that this says anything about there 37" *edit* lcds.

would you need a monster computer to drive that sort of resolution (1920x1080 )? I'm running and AMD 3500+, 1GB RAM and a ATI 9800 Pro video card. I'm not sure my system could handle this.

are my concerns valid?

I don't have a 9800, but I am sure it will handle that monitor fine. The moldy GF4 4200 in my boxen will do 85hz at that res, and the monitor itself probably defaults at 60hz.
