I was wondering if anyone had any information about this monitor? I'm looking to get a new monitor within the next few days and this seems like a good deal.

If you know anything about them, please let me know. Or, if you know of a better monitor around the same price range, then I'm all ears. I mainly use my computer for computer games, console games, tv, and movies if that matters.

Thanks for the help

I agree. Usually get it from costco for $300AR. Fast monitor, 6 bit panel so colors could be better, but a good deal for what you pay for it.

Lamp is set to zero which appears not to make a lot of difference. For VGA I have it set to "auto color", which seems work better than any manual settings I have tried. I havent played with the settings much though--I am hoping to build a new system soon and will prolly pay more attention to getting it tweaked better then.

How about you?

I'm using DVI,

I currenlty have lamp set to 2. Which i agree, it doesn't seem to make much difference. Black level 6, Contrast 44, and color temp medium.

It looks pretty good at these settings but it still seems to me somethings not quite right. Just can't put my finger on it.

I have this Viewsonic and like it better than my old dell 2005fpw primarily for size and speed (response time).
It's better than the Dell for gaming but far from perfect in terms of colors and back-lighting. Otherwise it's a Viewsonic which is fairly well built.
One down turn though: no component inputs.

None of the 22 inch models have a component inputs, so that's to be expected as a turn off, I suppose. And what do you mean the 22 inch Viewsonic is better for gaming? I've tried both the Acer and Dell 22'' models and games look exactly the same to me, given that it's the same panel. Maybe that statement was just a bit, uh, wrong?

You're not comparing apple to apple.
Yours are the Acer and Dell 22" (not sure dell even has 22"model??)
Mine Dell2005 and Viewsonics 22"
Viewsonic is 2" larger and at least 5ms faster response time than dell's which translates to better for gaming.

My bad, thought you were comparing the Viewsonic 22'' model to the Dell 22'' E228WFP and trying to say the Viewsonic was bettern than the Dell, meanwhile they use the same panel.
