Yeah, games like battlefield are geigh ass because they don't support 1280x1024; for gods sake, Tribes I does. Anyway, with the right graphics driver settings it looks fine, theres a little streching but nothing too noticeable. Reguardless of what resolution your games are set to, they override the windows settings so like in splinter cell. Windows is at 1280 but the game only runs in 640. The graphics driver will automatically upscale the image to fit the screen. I know for nVidia cards under nView Display settings-->Device Adjustment-->Device settings, and then there are 4 scaling and centering options for different resolutions. Also, in dealing with games, texture quality, ansitropic filtering, and antialiasing are more important than running in 1280 as opposed to 1024. On a final note, if youd rather the screen not be streched you can select that option too
