schatzki's ring?

I suffer from this:

It's called a Schatzki (Schatzki's) ring and is described as a smooth, benign (non-cancerous), circumferential, and narrow ring of tissue in the lower end of my esophagus (the food pipe that connects the mouth to the stomach). Schatzki rings are common and are located just above the junction of the esophagus with the stomach. The cause of Schatzki rings is not clearly understood. Some doctors believe they are caused by long-term damage from reflux of stomach acid

In all my life I never had chronic acid reflux, just the occasional bouts.

4 years ago I had a Upper endoscopy. This is a procedure that enables the examiner (usually a gastroenterologist). And at that time he preformed a balloon dilation of my esophagus.

Looks like I may have to repeat the procedure.

Any ideas/comments or recommendations.

I have the same issue. I had the dilation procedure done a few years ago and I probably should have it done again soon. I get something stuck in my throat about once a week. Most times it's just mildly uncomfortable for a minute or so, but sometimes it's very uncomfortable and lasts for a few minutes. Once it lasted for a couple hours and I was drooling like a mastiff the entire time. I had to go to the ER and they were about to perform a procedure to pop the stuck bite into my stomach when it finally cleared on its own.

BTW: I've never had acid reflux, but they said drinking a lot of Coke might have the same effect. I used to drink 2-3 a day, but I've cut way back and try to avoid it now.

Never knew about this , I think I may well have the same ( and yes I do like coke ) , got something stuck only today , about the size of my thumb nail . Do you get chest pain also , and is both sides ?

I get pain while I am gagging.
