So how do the scientists explain how 'matter' and 'energy' were created? It was always just there? Sounds like faith to me. There will always be things science can't explain.
See that's the thing... the religious person's worldview and a completely atheist scientist's worldview is completely different.
The fact of the matter is that the scientist readily admits that there is no current explanation. Maybe there will or won't be an explanation in the future -- it doesn't matter. All that matters is that there is no natural explanation and he accepts that as the truth of the world.
In some other thread someone quoted Einstein who said something to the same effect... it was pretty interesting. Basically said something along the lines of humbly accepting the limits of human knowledge.
