SciFi Channel needs to show less cruddy non-scifi movies

Those movies are all absolute crap. I'd much rather see Deep Space Nine, Star Trek TNG, Babylon 5, Firefly, etc.
In my opinion, a science fiction channel should show good science fiction, not campy movies that can't be remotely considered scifi, and even worse, FANTASY.

Spike shows loads of Star Trek, so I get my fix from that, but I would really like to see Fire Fly, wish they would continue that series.

Yeah, wtf with all those ****** "scary" and horror movies? Give me some weird sh1t like that "Immortal" movie over that any day (I'm talking about that cgi movie where there's some egyptian-god-person who's got inside the human dude to basically "do" that alien chick )

TNG is showed on Spike and G4. Star trek is played like 5 hours a day on spike tv alone - tng, ds9 and voyager. do we really need another station showing that? they play movies because anyone can just sit down and watch it, regardless if it sucks. they can't play series because they're too long and noone would follow them... they all ready play sg1, xfiles every day! that's why during the weekdays they always have a marathon that lasts the morning and afternoon.

they only play crappy movies on teh weekend prob cuz it's another audience. i doubt any channel would ever play B5 again considering the atrocious ratings it received the premiere run... lol - good show though, but better on dvd...

Glad I'm not the only one. For some reason, I keep tuning to SciFi hoping to catch some science fiction, and get a monster movie. There's a huge catalog of science fiction available, and they show crap, much of which they make themselves. Is that somehow profitable for them?

I doubt anyone thinks those movies are good. A regular joe flipping channels isn't going to stop and watch a sh!t movie when he can keep going and find something decent.

There are a lot of series where you don't have to watch the whole thing chronologically. Battlestar Galactica, sure, but not something like TNG and to some extent Stargate.

Yeah, Spike shows Star Trek, but DS9 is at 9am on weekdays .

Haha. They're extremely censored. A lotta the crappy movies they show are straight to dvd. Anything remotely gory is cut out... That's pretty much the truth for any cable channels like tbs, etc.

The sad thing is, some of these movies they make with the crappy CGI actually could have some potential to be decent TV movies. But the terrible scripts and bad CGI just kill them.
