It has Hydravision which enables multi-monitor usage.

N8Magic, I didn't mean to ask if the Radeon 8500 generally supports Hydravision. I meant to ask if this particular Radeon 8500 from ENPC.com supports Hydravision. The Radeon 8500 (not LE) with 3.3ns memory that I purchased from Newegg didn't support Hydravision.

Received my card today. 3.6ns. Included driver cd and half life. Included svhs cable, audio rca cable, converter jack for dvi to vga. Ordered Tueday evening - paid 2 day and got it around 2pm today.

Learned about it from pricewatch before I saw it here. Need to say thanks for info on WD 80s at CC and SMC wireless router at CUSA - both tips from people here

Got the card yesterday and yes, it does have the chip in question on it. Also getting 275/275 on it as well.

It was very well packaged with tape all around it and arrived in perfect shape. The box had a $299.95 price tag on it and although it came in a brown box
I believe in the old saying "if it walks and quackes like a duck . . .". So call it what you want - it rocks for me.

I got this card and it is giving me problems.


When playing Empires at War , which is Starfleet Command II it suddenly goes dead somewhere into playing the game (liek 30min to 1 hr) and nothing but a reboot will bring it back. And when it reboots it doesnt come back on until the last second, like when the hardware bus is reset, meaning it doesnt appear during most of the post but it does as soon as the memory test starts on the bios boot.

I am running at 85mhz at a 1152 x whatever res.

It doesnt do it all the time though, just once in a while. Its NOT the monitor, thats fine, the monitor has 2 inputs and runs great, when this happens, I switch to the second input and the second computer input image is perfect.


I hate to return it at this price but I think its bad

Got the card in the link below about 5 days ago. Looks good and is a nice card. Beat the GF4 Ti 4200 in 3dmark2001SE. radeon 8500 Rev. 3 @ ocsystem

Let's see the ATI is $95 and the lowest price on pricewatch for a Ti4200 is $150. Am I missing something here
