I am kinda disappointed...

I mean... in my heart, I tihnk he did it... but legally....

There was no cause of death
There was no murder weapon
There was no phyiscal evidence tying Scott to the murder

And if that is not bad enough...

The judge allowed them to get in the boat and jump up and down ..during deliberation!!! That is not allowed and will DEFINATELY be a cause for appeal. And it seems to me... that every time they had a juror that did not tow the guilty line.... they replaced him.

I know I will probably be flamed for saying this... but if I were to follow the letter of the law, I do not think the State proved it's case beyone a reasonable doubt.

That's scary. There was no direct evidence to him as far as the press reported and thhey still sentenced him.

Yeah i'm sure he did it. But i do not think the prosecution proved its case.

I think the judge fvucked up. not only in allowing them to get in the boat but the dismissed jurors were for not-guilty! It should be interesting to see what happens on the appeals.

That's what it means... thanks... the whole time when I was listening I was like what special circumstances? I figured it was a charge or something.

Anyways, I dunno, I haven't really followed the case too closely, but I do believe that someone coming from his lifestyle couldn't just up and murder someone and be this straight-faced about it. If he truly did it he would've broken down and cracked, but then again I could be wrong.

This is a sad day in justice. No evidence whatsoever. They couldn't even establish a motive. This is scary. That means now you can charged with any crime and even convicted despite the lack of evidence if they just think you did it. Forget police work, we'll just charge whoever we want. He got convicted because he cheated on his pregnant wife, what a joke.

Those who are saying there is no evidence - we can't be absolutely sure. We were not in that courtroom for all this time like the jurors were. They are probably a little more informed than we are on the subject. And in order for a conviction they have to ALL be in agreement. Apparently they were, so that's 12 people who know a lot more than us who found him guilty. I'll believe the justice system on this one.

he didn't want to be married/have a kid, he is an evil killer

They were seeking help for over a year to get pregnant. He was even coming home at lunch time when they thought she was ovulating. I'll tell you one thing after this even if I seen a woman murdered right before my eyes I wouldn't say a word. God knows for a me being a black man this is about as scary as it gets. This is some bs.

with no prior history, prosecutors bungling the case from the get go, and the judge fvcking up I find it an absolute miracle as to how he even got convicted.

I have no faith in the justice system.

And you can dismiss jurors that are holding out for a acquittal. That is what scares me the most.
