Is there any other evidence of this site being biased? I could really care less what they're conclusions are because all I need are good reliable numbers to look at and they seem to do a good job there (otherwise AMD wouldn't have hired him).

They're hiring a journalist to teach them how to measure frame times?
It was very clear when he asked people for subscriptions.
The creator RadeonPro would be a much better hiring.
Would be nice if they creates a new version of Radeonpro (maybe called Radeon Tweaks) backed by AMD for advanced users with all the features and more stability and compatibility.
Is like AMD is clueless of what the users want.
Probably a very hard business to make money in. People reading component reviews are way more likely to install ad blockers etc. and shut down that revenue stream.
Awesome that they're working on improving their internal testing methodology.
Really smart move from AMD, to hire one of their biggest critics and indeed a very biased reviewer to work for them.
If you don't actually think he is biased, you just need to go back and read the Dirt Showdown saga and how Scott claims they will not be using it in their suite of games because DX11 Direct Compute Global Illumination was an unfair AMD tech that ran worse on NV GPUs (despite NV fixing it with a driver update, you know, AMD's open source features make that easy). Right, fair enough, discard biased games.
But when it comes to Project Cars... nope. None of those constant NV logos in-game tracks or the crippling performance on AMD GPUs makes it bias, according to Scott, it's fine, they include it in their suite of games and even do a lavish article showcasing the game.
Bias? You decide.
Most like Raptr hired the guy to stop Radeonpro development since Radeonpro was about to implement the game recording feature that is the only reason for someone to use Raptr. He works for raptr so indirectly working on AMD software (gaming evolved app)
The saying is "I couldn't care less".
If anything, Scott's testing changed the way sites investigated the performance. It was welcomed, needed, and pushed testing evaluations forward.
I like what I'm seeing from AMD, going beyond just numbers and concentrating on a quality experience to go along with world class performance.
it is 1 step above that. amd just made a foot soldier out of an enemy. How goes that old quotation?
Keep your friends close ....................:sneaky:
Tech report was and is a great site. Scott wasson was and is a highly respected member among his peers and a hard worker. It was that reason, and that reason alone, he was hired. Conspiracy theorists can keep hugging their tinfoil hats tight.
So much butt hurt drama hate flowing through the pro AMD posters. Spin spin spin, its the only way for it to make sense in your warped heads.

does it matter? because amd would now be using his expertise to market their products. imagine taking out the batman game but leaving the dirt game in can you imagine the howls of crying coming from some of the membersdid scott actually write and develop his one testing tools or did he contract someone to do it. I just don't see where scott has such expertise. What is his background?
