CJ Roberts legacy is smack dab on the line here. I suspect he doesn't want his legacy to be smeared and tainted by McConnell and the Heritage Foundation's sordid engineering of the last two court picks.

So it seems to me the battle lines have been drawn over what Roberts wants his historical record to look like vs. what the powers that be behind the Repub's efforts at minority party control over the nation want for their monies and influence spent.

It seems to me the Repubs can win a battle here while losing the war on who ultimately gets to control the gov't for quite some time to come.

Got to say that the new conservatives on the court appear less concerned with preserving the court's appearance of neutrality than I expected despite using the word a lot. Figured they'd make it appear more anguished and thoughtful but nope. Seem slike a slam dunk for overturning.

Given Kavanaugh's reasoning stuff like Obergefell certainly appears quite vulnerable.

They will use logic to overturn Roe V Wade but then use that same logic to uphold other rulings they agree with. It's all a game to them with women's lives and human rights.

How about we tell anti-choicers to pound sand and stop letting them move goal posts on us.

Few abortions take place late in pregnancy, and those that do are often due to fetal anomolies that are severe or fatal, or to protect a pregnant person's health (such as from a miscarriage late in pregnancy).

My wife is dealing with a patient that managed to have an ectopic pregnancy where the embryo is trying to attach to the woman's liver. Doctors were thinking she had a greater than 50% chance of death. There's zero viability for the fetus to survive. She had two other kids. If she lived in a Sharia Christian State she could be dead with two kids with no mother.

I know this is a wildly rare case, but this shit happens and there needs to be reasonable discussion around it. But there's no reasonable discussion with Christian Sharia draconian policy.

I hate playing the tit for tat war, but Boof said it himself in regards to Texas's implementation...what if people apply the same vigilante laws to guns? I say fuck it. Put it to the test liberals. Pass the same gun laws and start suing people for gun related things. I hate this is where we are but sometimes maybe smearing peoples faces in their own shitty policy is what is required to get them to understand.
