i think some people got it down to 660 a couple weeks ago bc they had 100 off coupons (one time use). without those i think this is the best price that has been offered.

I got the Planar 191M on Monday. I talked a Dell rep into crediting me the extra cash off that is in effect today =)

This display rocks. It is much smaller than the Planar CT1904Z, which I think is worth the extra money.

The response time on this baby is 25ms, and they are dead on with that number. I have played a bunch of UT2003 Demo, RTCW, and Jedi Knight with NO GHOSTING. It takes a little while to get used to playing games on an LCD because it has a different motion and a CRT, but other than that the screen is soooooo much sharper than anything I ever experienced with a CRT.

2D looks great (even with my analog GF3Ti200, hope to get a DVI connection to test soon.) Text is sharp, brightness is great, I can't think of anything that I don't like.... It didn't even have one bad pixel!!!

Did I mention that I like this monitor?

Does anyone out there have one of the Planer LCDs and a Samsung171, Samsung 191, or one of the Dell 1900FPs? (they are the same monitor.)

I would like to know if the Dell 1900FP(Samsung) is any better than the Planar model... if so I might trade the Planar 191M I bought in....

roncarter, it depends on how much you are willing to spend.

The total difference comes to $53.69 ($672.30 for the CT1904Z & $725.99 for the PL191M-BK). So it's not that much more.

Actually, it was only about 1 person that got it for that price. I paid $706 for this monitor - which is well worth it. $706 was the delivered price from Dell under the home section.
