Get a reward for shopping on MSN this holiday season -- a $20 check for every $100 you spend. All your purchases at participating merchants count, and the more you spend, the more you get! MSN will send you a check for up to $100 after the holidays.

For all your Passport Express Purchases combined at participating MSN merchants, Nov. 20-Dec. 20:
If you spend... You get...
$100 - $199 $20
$200 - $299 $40
$300 - $399 $60
$400 - $499 $80
$500 or more $100

How it works:
1. Find something to buy
Start shopping at MSN eShop. Products from participating stores will be labeled Get your MSN Holiday Reward. You may also click on one of the participating stores above to get started.

2. Use Passport Express Purchase
When you make a purchase at the store's site, you must click the Passport Express Purchase button. If you don't have a Passport wallet, you can get one on the spot -- it's easy and free. If you want to know more about Passport, click here.

3. Watch your reward grow
MSN will automatically track your purchases and send you email updates on the amount of your reward -- and how much more you need to spend to get another $20, up to a maximum of $100.

4. Get your reward
In January, MSN will send you an email with a link to a page where you can tell us where you'd like us to mail your reward. Then, MSN will send you a check!

Last year's deal is much better with instant 20%off. I got my 36" wega with pnp for $1030 shipped from 800.com and $50 free GC . That model was $1700 at local stores, even right now at that price still a good deal.

Another cheer for last year's instant 20% discount... got us a Toshiba SD2200 for $180 shipped from 800.com...I think we combined 4-5 different promotions - 10% off DVD players, free shipping on DVD players, $20 off coupon, 20% off from Passport, no tax (standard)...came out to a very sweet deal for us!

Clicked on the link and nothing...just brings me to a blank msn page...did the deal get pulled??? I'm trying to look at the "more detail" link from msn regarding this.

Anyways...this bothers me a bit:
Products from participating stores will be labeled Get your msn Holiday Reward.

So i'm taking it that i have to look for specific items in each participating store thats labled with "Get your msn Holiday Reward" in order for this deal to work. Am i right or is my engrish all wrong.

Thanks!

I did the chat thing to ask about the "said labeled" products but got no good answer. They just said buy from a participating store. It's that simple. Of course their "English" on that products are Labeled thing seems wierd. Sorry no help here.

Just jumped on this deal at Photoalley. Got $100 gift check from Photoalley for purchase of over $500 (Canon camcorder), this certificate will be good for stocking up on DV tapes and maybe an extra camcorder battery. Two days left on the Photoalley gift check, 11-20 through 11-21. Should also get $100 gift check in January from MSN for using passport for the purchase. Also Photoalley added free tripod, camcorder bag and free Meade binoculars. Also the Canon has a $50 rebate. So to add it all up:

$649 camcorder with free shipping and the extras detailed above.
minus
$100 gift check from Photalley (not real cash, I know, but I do need DV tapes and stuff, so is very useful)
$100 from passport deal
$50 rebate Canon

Final price is $399

This is alot more hoops to jump through and wait for than the amazing Amazon deal last week, but this is a higher model Canon, ZR20 as opposed to ZR10, so I feel good about the deal.

SimMik2...was your camcorder labled with the: "Get your MSN HOliday Reward"???? Did you log back into MSN eshop and check to see if indeed you did get the $100???

I would love to know. If the label doesn't matter that would be sweet!

When you buy using passport, when you push the passport button, does it put in your credit card # or do you still have to put it in? The reason I am asking is I am trying to purchase at 800.com and I get to the checkout page and push the passport button, sign in, then it wants me to sign in to 800.com, then it takes me back to the original page that had the passport button. The only way I get any further is to push the 800.com secure order button and then they want my cc #, I thought passport was supposed to put that in for you.

It's really unclear if the promotion applies to ANY product from the participating vendors or just "Specially marked" products like shown on the MSN webpage. I too did a live chat with the MSN people, and the rep I chatted with didn't seem able to come up with a solid yes or no answer---she was just "pretty sure" any product would qualify, as long as it was purchased from one of the participating vendors. So buyer beware.

I also expect them to yank the promo before the stated expiration date.

Fine fine fine!!! Since no one here can get a straight answer from MSN bout this..lets do this: Write down the CS you spoke to(extension, CS id, name, etc) and we'll use that as reference. But then again the link does show very clearly that this deal only works with specific items from the stores that are labeled!!....Now we just need to find those. They're probably all really $hitty crap..hehehehe

Thanks everybody!!!

I've got a VictoriaT from MSN chat looking into things for me. I'm on 'hold' right now. I wonder if she's cute.

IS it really worth it, having to use passport to check out, giving MS your credit card info for their database? Just earlier this month a major exploit was discovered. Yeah (I assume) they fixed it quick, but tell me this isn't going to happen again. It's not just that I hate MS either. Anyone trying to create a database of everybodys cc is not a good idea. (And then of course the thought of it being done by MS makes it even worse)

Same here with 800.com when I sign in to Passport it comes back to 800.com without the msn banner which is no good. I tried ritz.com and it works fine but their deal is not as good on the Sony P5

I talked to Victoria T too -- she said that "Yes, it has to be labeled. As far as I know, it's not that many."

<< juddev, same thing here. very confusing checkout process for passport. I didn't check out yet. >>

I'm trying to get something from photoalley and it's wouldn't take my credit card. I think it's because I have a different shipping address. It asks me to call but if I place the order on the phone then I don't get the $100 from MSN. Anyone having this problem?

Heh, I made her look for ones with labels and she couldn't find any. Poor lady. She's gonna have to lie for the next few hours, since I doubt there's anyone there to give her the correct answer.
