I am interested in doing the same deal that you did.
But the question is which place are you thinking to do pricematch?
Someone mentioned "royal camera". it is 569 AFTER REBATE. so it is actually 669.
From pricegrabber, the lowest is 626 around that....
Two questions.

Can you do pricematch with "royal camera"?
other places that you can find at even lower price?

thanks in advance

And yes, you can price match with anyone that they can verify. No matter how many times I do it, I still get a very nervous feeling about it going through. You know, like "too good to be true"

I price matched Buydig.com 4 times for the same dv camera. And they just kept sending checks!

I like to set up my Price match over the phone, the 800 #. They are real nice and I give them the web site while I am on line so I can sort of walk them through it. I make sure that the price match is a go over the phone. They give you a confirmation # and then you wait for your check to come. Once, I even lost a check and they sent me another one within a week.

Seems like everyone is buying digital cameras with this msn deal. Any harddrive bargains? Right now I'm leaning towards a WD 120GB drive from outpost.com for $199 after $100 rebate. Too bad they are not one of the msn sites as that would have been really hot deal for that drive.

Um...doesn't MSN have a limit of $100 per person?

Hey does photoalley normally have some promotion or other going on? Like, say I was waiting on an Amex Blue card to come in... should I wait for it and figure that photoalley will have some other promotion other than the gift check one that they have now in about a week or two?

Justin....as far as the rep I talked to verify...she kinda gave me a clue that "as long as I use two different CC#, I should have no problem receiving two $100 checks"
I consider that as a clue a nice rep hinted me

To those having problems with the MSN/800.com deal the problem is apparently fixed. I thought that I found a workaround using my Opera 6.0 browser instead of IE 5.5 but it was probably just coincidental because I received a call from a 800.com rep that stated that MSN resolved the problem.

I have tried IE6.0 Netscape 4.7 and Opera 5 with 800.com and it still does not work. Passport works with other sites just not with the one I need.

I don't work for MSN, but I wouldn't count on this unless you get it in writing. The reason is that those two different CCs belong to the same Passport wallet. It would be trivial for MSN Passport to limit each Passport account to $100.

Now if they decided that one Passport account can earn a $100 rebate for each CC used in that wallet, then that's their decision. I can't see why they'd leave that gaping loophole in the offer though.

So here's how I participated in this deal, in case anyone cares Ok so I just want to share...

Nikon 995 for $800 - $250 Price Match using Amex - $100 MSN Rebate - $100 Rebate on the camera = $350
Plus with that I got a free set of binoculars and $100 towards my next purchase at photoalley.com
So I want the Nikon 70-300mm ED AF lens for $320.. which I will purchase with a different Amex card and on my dads/friends account... so $320-$100-$40/$60MSN rebate-$35 rebate on lens - $30 PM via Amex = $115!

So $465 total for the Nikon 995 and Nikon 70-300mm ED AF lens!

Is bestbuy.com one of the stores? I want to get some PS2 games. If not bestbuy then is there any other?

on your Nikon 70-300mm AMEX will match only with what your charged. Since you charged only 220 after deducting the Giftcard, they only match the price with 220 and not 320!!!

Just go through the link, all the participating stores are listed on the side.

OK, it doesn't look like this has officially been posted (tho' there's like 50 threads on the MSN deal...), but this deal may have just gotten rather poor. If you go back to the original link and look at the bottom of the "Participating Stores" section of the page, you'll now see a link (at least I didn't notice it before) that says "See offers from these stores" (linky). Does this mean that we can only now get cashback on these items? It looks like this may be the case.

No if you buy anything from the stores on the right on this page and you use Passport Express Purchase you will get the rebate. If you shop for products actually on the MSN eShop site it needs to have the "Get your MSN Holiday Reward" label.

How it works rule #1:

1. Find something to buy

Start shopping at MSN eShop. All products from participating stores are eligible for the MSN Holiday Reward (listed at right). To find participating products while shopping on MSN look for the label Get your MSN Holiday Reward.

Sweet deal! Been waiting a long time for a great deal on a digital camcorder. I just ordered the Canon ZR30MC miniDV camcorder from PhotoAlley.com for a bottom line of $419.99 plus tax after rebates from Canon, MSN and price matching thru AMEX Blue:

ZR30 MC -- $747.95
shipping -- 0.00 (free on orders over $200)
less:
Canon rebate -- 50.00
MSN rebate -- 100.00
AMEX Blue PM -- 177.96 (pm with: Regency Camera)

Total: $419.99 + tax

Thanks for the post!
