For those of you asking if purchases at www.ebgames.com would qualify, I think the answer is yes

Unfortunately it says no on the popup that appears when you click to 800.com from MSN.

Looks like everything sold at the participating partners qualify. I bought a DVD Player and some cables from 800.com that did show on eshop.msn.com or 800.com as products qualify for MSN Rewards. I still got e-mail from MSN saying I have collected $60 in rewards till now for my passport account.

The camera I bought from photoalley did not have anything specific to MSN on the camera detail page, I believe as long as you click through MSN and the holiday reward link to get to your store, you're OK. By the way, I bought the camera on Thursday and got my confirmation from MSN for the rebate on Saturday morning.

The deal is now "true to be good" Got my $250.00 from Amex yesterday, and I had done a price match with Ritz against Dell and added in their 10% off and the CSR for Ritz credited my Amex card $100.00
the next day. now with $100 passport and $100 from rebate, $249 is my final price. Merry Christmas to me!
The CSR at Ritz is Debbie. She had no problem doing the price match.

Participating merchants are ONLY the merchants listed on that page, under the right hand side column intuitively titled "Participating Merchants".

From the FAQ:
I just got an order confirmation from a merchant, but it didn?t mention the MSN Holiday Reward. Did my order count?
As long as you came to the merchant?s site from an MSN property and used Passport Express Purchase, your purchase will count towards your reward check. MSN will send you an email within a week after the transaction is completed that will confirm that the purchase will contribute to your reward.

To have your purchase (read: ANY PURCHASE) at the PARTICIPATING MERCHANTS count you need to:

Start at MSN eShop (e.g. click through from the page)
Finish purchasing using the Passport checkout option

These are straight from the TOS. There is no mention of specific products. If you go to the store, they will NOT have any indication of which products count, because they ALL count!

Arghhhhh.....

This is a great deal. I just ordered the Sony Clie N760C from crutchfield.com for a total of $358 (would of been $345 if I had a Visa card). $25 off using a referrer and $80 from MSN. Got the confirmation email from MSN today about thr $80. Unfortunetly crutchfield didn't credit me with the $25 off I should of gotten for the referral so I'm going to call them in the morning to get that. I had a feeling this would happen. Anyone else have this problem with crutchfield?

By the way, make sure you go to the merchants page through the MSN deal page, or it WON'T count. The first time I ordered I just went to crutchfield and ordered the passport but it wouldn't of counted. Luckily I caught it and canceled my order and re-did it again.

just found out MSN will cross reference address with purchases before sending out a check. Therefore multiple accounts will only work if you use different addresses.

I believe it refers to the date the item was ordered. I still have the panasonic dv401 on backorder at photoalley (bastards), but msn sent me an email saying that i did qualify for the $100 and it will be sent out in january

Actually the offer is one per-person. I sent an email to msn asking whether I could take advantage of the msn reward even though my wife had already reached the $100 offer limit. Below is the email reply they sent me.
