Screen shots from dvd's

Is there anyway to take screen shots of a dvd and then edit them in photoshop elements? I have tried wmp9 and power dvd but once the image is in elements and you continue to play the dvd, the image plays aswell.

make the movie full screen, then use print screen and paste it into paint, save, and then edit with program of your choice?

Does not work with overlay.

In WMP, there is a screenshot feature under View>DVD features I believe. Also, I think PowerDVD has a screenshot feature as well.

In PowerDVD you press C to take a screen capture. prt scr will not work.

...if you're using WMP, turn of hardware acceleration before hitting print screen.
