as i briefly mentioned, what happens is that my laptop's screen unexpectedly goes fuzzy and pixelated, it happens for few seconds, like 5 or 10 seconds, after which it returns back alright with no problem, except that my laptop completely stops responding and freezes, so what i do is that i turn it off forcibly by long pressing the power button, then turning it on again. this happens once or twice per day given the fact that i normally use it for 6 or 8 hours everyday, and until now it happened 7 or 8 times in 4 days perhaps. so after a short search, i concluded it could be power supply problem or heat problem. i downloaded a famous program called "cpuid HWmonitor" for monitoring temperature and voltage..until now it hardly reached above 70 C whether for the gpu or cpu..it reads a voltage at 10.8 with battery only and 11.3 while plugged in. but i can't get access to the fan speed in bios nor this program..however i suspect its sound recently became quieter..although cpuid shows reasonable temperatures. the most important thing to mention, is that so far, it always happened while plugged in, and most often perhaps when battery is close to be fully charged..i don't remember it happened while it was on battery. so i tested the adapter's voltage and it was something like 19.2, which is the normal output voltage. the last thing to note is that this adapter's socket has been faulty for a very long time, as it is almost broken, and i can hardly charge with it. sadly, i'm always busy to replace it.

so far i couldn't reach a clue what this would be, i'm too worried if it could be graphics adapter. i wonder what is possibility for this, and could it turn even more worse if i don't fix it soon?

here are my specs: samsung laptop with 8gb ram, i5-3210m and nvidia geforce 610m and intel graphics 4000

Does it happen when you push down the keyboard or the areas around it with your fingers? I had a work laptop that would display weird artifacts and then freeze when I rest my hands on it for typing. Apparently it was the GPU. Yours could be something else though. Can you manage to take a photo or video of the laptop with your phone when it exhibits that issue?

The best thing you could do would be to take it to a laptop repair shop. A lot of laptop hardware issues, specially of this kind, are not easy to pinpoint and fix by users.

until now i can't take a picture because it happens for few seconds afterwards it returns back alright and computer freezes..so it's hard to be prepared to take a picture in few seconds.

anyway here is an interesting update: i discovered that my nvidia gpu, only when plugged in, heats up rapidly even when idle, to over 85 C (185 F) !!! and perhaps more!! while the intel gpu and my i5 cpu remains in a reasonable temperatures! i found many similar cases like this in google, but non of them got worse to the point that the screen goes fuzzy like me

seems like this lasted for a long time perhaps, and i didn't notice until it went worse, possibly for a software reason, or it could be the faulty adapter plug i talked about..until now i haven't reached any clue..i wonder what is happening?

It's not full of dust bunnies, is it?
i ended up with a temporary fix, i disabled my nividea 610m from device manager, then problem completely disappeared. last thing happened before that was that it happened again after windows just loaded (temperature less than 45 C) and on battery, after it always happened when plugged.

i have this laptop for over 3 years, and honestly it got never cleaned..do u think it has anything to do with that problem? keep in mind that it works alright without nividea card..what does that mean? could it be software or driver problem, given the fact that i installed many programs the day it first appeared..or hardware..like being dirty as u said, or a faulty board??

Well, I think you need to clean it out if it's never been cleaned. The cooling system may be dirty to where it can handle the CPU, but not the CPU and the GPU?

Maybe the GPU is defective, but try cleaning first.
