Ah, SCSI. 15-ish years ago it was the Holy Grail to run a 15K RPM SCSI setup at home. I spent about 2 months pay back then for a controller card/cable/terminator/2 drives. I loaded Quake3 at the speed of...Like Really Fast Or Something. Compared to IDE, I was THE MAN, man!
About 4 months ago I sold that entire setup on EBay for $40 and I ate the shipping.
In the Enterprise world, SCSI still has a very large presence, but as those "almost bulletproof" drives die, there is no new stock to replace them; just NOS. And the price will go up and up...SCSI is dead.
I hope you can get your data off there...is it really that important? Either you're facing a lawsuit and need some historical data, or you've got some ex-girlfriend porn on there and you're feeling REALLY lonely.
The intarnetz can fix you up if it's the latter.
