scsi vs. ide burners

Yamaha 16x scsi for $113

I want stabilty(n ounderuns) I have a scsi drive as the os drive, so an ide won't hurt.

depends what you will be doing.

if you will be doing lots of other stuff while burning that cd, SCSI will be best, even though burn-proof does help.

If you have a SCSI card, SCSI. There is NO comparison.

I am not a huge fan of yamaha burners, but I have a 16x one. Sure its partly 12x, but still way better than my 4x IDE. And how many other 16x scsi drives are out there?

I think it really depends on what else and are using in your system.

If you are all SCSI, then get the SCSI CD-RW. No sense in using up more system resources to activate the on-board IDE controllers.

IF you already are also using the on-board IDE contollers, then the IDE CD-RW would suit you fine.
