Scythe Ninja CPU HS $38.99 AC

I have this HS on a Venice 3500 in an Antec P180 and my CPU temp is typically under 30°C. The only fans are the case fans drawing air across the HS. Unfortunately I paid over $50 shipped for mine.

You will need the $8 coupon from that technical bargains website to get the price down from $46.99.

I have never bought from or heard of this e-tailer, so caveat emptor.

If you have the P180 case I would go with the Ninja...no question. That case has two 120mm fans that end up about 2" away from the HS since the PS in on the bottom.

I don't know much about the SI-120 though.

If you were worried about overclocking (which I do not do) then you can mount a 120mm fan on the HS. With the P180 case you actually have TWO 120mm fans in close proximity (less than 2") to the HS. They both draw air across the HS and out of the case. This seems far more efficient than many of the other air cooling setups I have seen.

It is really heavy though. Even though most of the weight is in the solid copper base, I wouldn't want to move the case around too much.

I've got one, it's fairly light from the way it feels. The weight might make a difference in SHIPPING through UPS or something, but it's perfectly safe to move it on your own, put your system in the car, etc.
