i would guess so, as the only 16MB cache drives appear to all be 7200.9

grrr again ... first the 1gb stick o ram is all cheap after buying 2x512s, and now I'm thinking of selling the 200GB that was on ubersale at CompUSA to trade up to 300GB for the same price...

If it really is the ST3300631A-RK, AFAIK that would imply that it has a 5 year warranty. All 7200.9s should have full 5-year warranties.

I don't think this is a 7200.9 drive. For the PATA model, it is ST33000622A. The SATA model ends with AS.

So I don't know if this is a 7200.8 or .7 drive. I haven't been able to narrow it down yet. I can't find this model designation on the Seagate website.

Still, I ordered one anyway.

5 year warranty direct from horse's mouth or in this case, manufacturer's web site. Don't believe a company that can't even get their ads printed without massive errors.
