i got mine today, there's a big sticker that says "5 year warranty" on the box. the label on the drive says it's a 7200.8

I got mine today as well. About to open it up...I wanted a 7200.9, but oh well, this drive still kicks ass.

BTW, as an indication of how hot a deal this is, cheapest 300GB HDD of any brand/type on Newegg is $110 plus shipping, so $90 shipped is HOT HOT HOT!!! Too bad it is EIDE. I'm starting to think about deals on SATA... but they're rare.

I can just barely catch something about no longer available before it redirects. Guess I missed this one, though I don't really need another drive being that I have a 300GB and 400GB Seagate drives still sealed and collecting dust.

3 hour sale...taking lessons from Monarch. The 250GB drive has two platters. 300 unit comes with three. In theory, the 250 should run cooler and quieter.
