Do you mean it isn't hot for you? I think that the deal itself is QUITE hot, relative to other harddrive deals. $0.28/GB is very good (NIT - not including taxes), and there are no rebates to hassle with. And free shipping! I don't follow all the harddrive deals around here with absolute diligence but it seems that most of them come in at around $0.33 to $0.37/GB, and that is after the rebate.

It's so-so deal as far as $$ per capacity. SATA still carries a hefty premium and rarely comes close to the golden $0.25/GB rule. Sure this Seagate drive is fast, quiet, and cool running, but the only reason why I got it was to use as drives for a server. If it was for personal use, I would've waited for some kick-butt deal on PATA. It's not HOT in the $$/GB sense, it's quite warm as far as value goes.
