The ST380013A drives are the Barracuda 7200.7 drives. They are NOT "as quiet" as the Barracuda IVs. Nothing to date is as quiet as the Barracuda IVs unless someone proves me wrong.

Not so sure if they will do. CSR at the Orland Park, IL store (#308) did not know about the $49.99 clearance price. They only had one (1) in stock and it was a raincheck. Had him check availability in other IL stores. Ford City, IL has 25. I'll pass, still have 2 unused WD160GB drives from CC.

What would the performance increase be if using these in raid 0 over a maxtor 40gig ultra/100 7200rpm? My drive is only 40 gig but since I use less than half, size is not a issue. Is the performance jump in raid 0 worth $100 for 2 of these drives?
