SCORE!!! This should be a new Hot Deal thread by itself. You can chalk up the extra $10 on the fact it comes with a rear plate internal/external adapter bracket.

The adapter aside...this Cavalry deal in the link above is hot hot hot!! The super fast eSATA interface on this Western Digital (by most accounts) drive seals the deal for me.

You are right about this as being a candidate for a separate hot deal by itself.
There is also an extra $10 off for Google checkout making this actually cheaper than the OP.

The external drive connects to the PC with a USB cable. Your friend would need to connect it to her PC, then copy whatever she wants to backup from her current drive (or could use special software to copy everything on the drive - most of the current external drives do include such software, like my Western Digital MyBook came with it (but I've never used that software personally)). Then she'd disconnect the USB cable from that computer and reconnect it to the other computer and back up that one. She could also leave it connected to one PC all the time, and have the second PC backed up over the network, if she prefers doing that.

I was in Fry's the other day and they had the 320GB FreeAgent for $99.
500GB FreeAgent Pro was $170 (I think)

Edited: Should probably state that's in Houston at the north I-45 & West store.
