Just remeber folks...

Most of the garbage the news puts out about our boys equipment and methods isn't complete or correct....

I knew TSgt John Chapman, I served in AFSOC for over 9 years....

BlackHawk Down was a good movie, BUT it never discussed "Willkie" Tsgt Wilkerson who was the first on scene and any of the other AFSOC Operators....

That garbage in the Popular Mechanics is so off base it isn't funny. AFSOC does have alot of prior Seals, Force Recon, Rangers and Green Beret's but the do not make up the majority.

You can join the Air Force and request a slot thru the 1 year long pipeline to become an Air Force Combat Controller or Para Rescueman, Of course they have a very high failure rate.... Some classes will only graduate with 5% of the starting people....

Reportedly military has 'fast-track' slots for ALL Special Forces these days, in response to the renewed interest and to prevent people from getting discouraged because they have to serve in another combat MOS with distinction for x number of years before they can qualify/request Special Forces.

BTW, the Air Force's most decorated and legendary PJ is Duane Hackney, who is from my home-town of Flint, Michigan.

SEALs are allowed to use any weapon they choose. they are not limited to "issue" weapons. the flash suppressor looks to be one of a few used on the Stoner 63/63A, a weapon favored by many SEALs. this weapon can be magazine, box, or belt fed.

Petty Officer Roberts looks alot like a guy that my friend was stationed with...i never knew his real name since i only met him once and was asked to just call him "Fluffy".
