You mean like CNN publishing a story that Nancy Sinatra was angry about Trump using her fathers song, which then caused her to tweet "CNN, why do you lie?". Kind of like that kind of "fake news" outlets? Just face it, CNN and NYT, WAPO, Huffpo etc are fake news. They just publish whatever garbage they can come up with to further an agenda.
They didn't get him fired, lying and covering up got him fired. You realize fake news sites can have true information as well right? Just because the enquirer has stories about "alien bat boy found on mars!" doesn't mean they can't be correct about the latest rumored affair of some celeb. You just have to realize that they often peddle in fake news and treat anything they report with the appropriate boulder of salt.
Well this finally will get me to subscribe to NYT. Now to decide if I want the 5 pound slab-o-news dropped at my door on the weekends or if digital is good enough.
I'll take this as acknowledgement that you are unable to tell the difference.
Here is your response from when that happened.
Your response this time? "Obama did It". There may be other hypocrites as well but you are most definitely one of them.

It's your charge, you do the work, dumbass. The "I'm rubber you're glue" argument works in 2nd grade. Stop being a little bitch child.

...you goddamn rock-sorter: a CNN intern re-tweeted a Nancy Sinatra comment and added her own spin on it. That is not CNN "publishing a story."
Holy sh*t, you are lead hammer dumb.
Sinatra was not happy with CNN’s story. She tweeted a link to the article and replied, “That's not true. I never said that. Why do you lie, CNN?”
You should. The post you quoted was talking about media OPERATING in Canada. Not a foreign signal that is carried in Canada.
Lets see. Just a re-tweet you say?

And before you whine about a fox link, here is the actual CNN article that they published:

And you have the nerve to call someone else dumb or stupid? Yeesh.

Again. He was talking about Canadian entities in general. Granted the statement about Fox is incorrect. Everything else he stated is in fact true. The only channel that is like Fox that tried to establish in Canada failed out of existence for multiple violations of standards and, just simply, shitty viewership. Here's the scoop (from Snopes):
It is true that various sections of CRTC regulations prohibit the broadcasting of “false or misleading news” by radio and television licensees, and that in 2011 the CRTCdeclined to narrow
those regulations to apply only to “news that the licensee knows is false or misleading and that endangers or is likely to endanger the lives, health or safety of the public.”
However, it is not true that such regulations have kept the Fox News Channel from gaining entry into Canada, or that they were invoked to boot Fox News out of that country after the channel was established there. The CRTC regulations apply only to Canadian broadcasters using Canadian airwaves; they do not apply to the Fox News Channel, which is a non-Canadian entity transmitted via satellite and cable, not broadcast over public airwaves.
Fox Chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch was rebuffed in his efforts to establish Fox News Canada in 2003 due to Canadian laws regarding foreign ownership of print and broadcast media, but the CRTC approved an application to bring the Fox News Channel to Canadian digital television line-ups back in November 2004, and that channel is now carried by dozens of different digital providers throughout Canada. (The claimed distinction that Fox News is only allowed in Canada due to its being classified as an “entertainment” channel rather than as a “news” channel is a meaningless one, as those classifications only apply to Canadian media outlets, and Fox is an American company.)
I think that pretty well covers it.
The headline is misleading.
The article has nothing but facts in it.
So is the article fake?
Well this finally will get me to subscribe to NYT. Now to decide if I want the 5 pound slab-o-news dropped at my door on the weekends or if digital is good enough.
It's pretty much a textbook example of fake news. They took a story, made up their narrative that Nancy was upset about Trump using the song (as the headline clearly states), and then published it. They just got completely called out on it and their lie was exposed when Sinatra herself (who can't stand Trump by the way) tweeted "CNN, why do you lie?".
great. you found an online blurb that sourced only tweets. No comments or anything from the subject. Obviously, that's sloppy as sh*t--but that's really all you got.
You had to dig up an archive, which is important--that was retracted and then deleted. "Fake news" doesn't do that. How often do your most beloved fake stories remain published on Brietbart or do you get updates about Bat Boy from The Globe?
Again, I admitted the headline was misleading. Add any adjective to that you want.
The rest of the article has zero falsehoods in it.
The article was subsequently deleted as zinfamous said.
What news publications do you believe to be true?
Oh, so publishing news you know to be fake (the headline is a flat out lie and they knew it) is OK if you later deleted when you get busted for lying? Also, there was no admission that it was a lie, they just deleted the story when they got busted.
Look, is it a big deal? No. Who cares about whether Sinatra is unhappy about Trump using the song. It does, however, clearly provide an example of an organization willing to blatantly lie to push a narrative. That's a fake news organization.
It doesn't mean everything they publish is a lie, but it means you have to take everything they publish with a grain of salt until proven to be true.
I feel like this question was asked by @fskimospy in an earlier thread and it just resulted in perpetual dodging. What news publications do you believe to be true?

Holy shit you are a fucking idiot.
That isn't hyperbole.
