I think this was a good deal (I'm "Junior". . . I'll let you decide) and I hope some of you can get it as well.

I went into Sears on their "Family and Friends" sale night and got the following:

$99.99 Harvard Air hockey Table (On sale from $129.99)
- $ 9.99 10% off (Friends and Family sale)
- $ 5.00 Friends and Family Night Coupon
$85.00 Total Paid

$99.99 Harvard Foosball Table (On sale from $129.99)
- $ 9.99 10% off (Friends and Family sale)
- $ 5.00 Friends and Family Night Coupon
$85.00 Total Paid

This past Sunday, Sports Authority put out an Ad for Similar items (can't remember brand) and priced them for $79.99. I took my reciept into Sears, asked about their Price Matching criteria and ended up getting a refund of $22.00 ($20 price match + $2 10% price match guarantee) on both items.

So my final price for each item was $63.00!! I also think the Harvard Tables are better quality than what Sports Authority was offering. I'm happy and my kids will be also. Now i just have to figure out how to get the darn things under the Christmas tree!!

Hope this helps someone!!

You got a nice person because TECHNICALLY it has to be the exact same item and SKU for sears to match the price.

Might want to put YMMV in the title.

The guy seemed to be in a rush and the only other thing I did was ask him that if I was to return the Sears products, where I would do that at. That seemed to make him jump on the price match.

What's YMMV?

The Friends and Family deal has ended. However, Sears still sells the Tables for $99.99 (at least they were the last time I checked their ad). I think it would still be worth it to go into Sears with the Sports Authority Ad and ask them to match it or you'll go get it elsewhere. It never hurts to ask and getting the Harvard product for $80 bucks is a pretty good deal in my mind.

I wonder if all the Sears stores price their stuff to the same amount? Locally, our Sears had a bunch of different tables, but the cheapest I saw was well over 100. Fortunately for me (about 2 weeks ago), someone goofed and put the $179 sale price on the wrong table. I got their top of the line table for that price. The department manager tried to tell me that I'd have to pay $80 for assembly (because it was the last one and already assembled)... took a bit of arguing, but I ended up getting it at that price.
Anyway... if the table you got was of good quality, I'm gonna be irritated with Sears, but if it isn't good quality, beware... those things are made of particle board, and I don't really think the light weight ones will stand up to serious game play for very long before falling apart.

Anyone have any opinion on the Harvard pool tables? I was in there looking at one of the slate tables, it seemed decent except it had rails instead of drop pockets. Somehow I just don't see Sears carrying quality pools tables and I want to get something that's going to last for years even if it costs more.
