Seasonal fashion collections being released early?

Last year, IZOD released a small number of products from its Spring 2017 collection as early as late November in time for Black Friday, and it appears that recently just before Memorial Day, IZOD has released a small number of its Fall 2017 products, with more released this week.

I was wondering, has anyone seen a trend with other fashion companies releasing their seasonal fashion collections earlier than usual? Historically the first items in the Spring collections aren't released until January, and the first items in the fall collections aren't released until July.

It's always been a trend for the Fashion Industries, they are a season ahead.

I don't know. I buy my dress shirts either at the thrift store (apparently, the way to know a man is about to die is that he buys some really nice shirts and then doesn't have time to wear them) or at the 1880's reenactor stores in Tombstone. So my shirts are either a season or two out of fashion or 130 years out of fashion.

My stuff's all out of date. I'm still wearing universal camo ACUs, and the designers have released multicam. I feel like a square.

I'm actually more out of date than I said. Today I'm wearing dessert desert camo BDUs. I'll never get a date looking this out of date D^:

I'd like to get solid colors, but they're never as good as genuine issue. I got some True-Spec(sp?) woodland BDUs from goodwill this weekend. Made in Honduras, and you can tell a big difference between them and the real thing. I wouldn't have gotten them if they weren't goodwill priced.

I've been buying Propper 100% ripstop cotton as polyester doesn't work in the desert nor in the dessert.

As a side note, looks like IZOD will be reviving their women's line as a licensed line next year:

PVH Corp. Announces Licensing Agreement with Sports Products of America for IZOD Women's Sportswear & Activewear | Business Wire

PVH has reached a licensing agreement with Sports Products of America to manufacture women's clothes under the IZOD brand beginning February 2018.

While the new women's line will be licensed rather than manufactured by IZOD/PVH themselves, I wonder why IZOD decided to do an about-face on discontinuing their women's line which they did in 2015 other than the golf line.
