Excellent powersupply for cheap. Newegg has the 430w for $100+ shipped currently. Checked eWiz resellerrating and it was 9.24 for the past 6 months. Put in an order for the S12 and it came out to $82 shipped.

This is really hot. They've got an even better deal on the 500W S12. It's going for $94 before shipping, compared to $150 on Newegg. If anybody's looking for a new PSU, this might be the best overall unit on the market -- snap it up at this price before Ewiz figures out they've made a mistake.

Of course, I had to order a TruePower 2.0 550W two days ago. Bah.

This is definetely an incredible deal. I have one of the older Super Tornado 400, and once iI got it my PSU went from being the loudest component in my computer to the quietest. If you're looking for a high quality, extremely quiet PSU then look no farther.

i just bought a super tornado 400W about 6 weeks ago for $115 shipped. So this is a great deal.

Any idea if this is noisier/quieter than the super tornado?

A tip for anything on EWIZ.COM. check for the product through pricewatch.com . many times they have items *hidden* or specially marked [pw] that can only be bought through the pricewatch link. usually these have free shipping.
bought a 450w fortron for $58.00 shipped through PW, when i went through their site directly and they wanted 58.68 + 12.00 shipping. exact same item and model#.

doesn't look like it applies here though. oops.

They had a similar deal some time agao and I got a Super Silencer 460 Watts for $80. Same now.

They also have the Zalman VF700-CU Ultra Quiet Copper VGA Cooler for $28 something.

This has been true for the previous deal on the Super Silencer.

Looks like they dropped the stupid policy now.

If you want to have your blood boil, try a "add to cart to see price" on amazon. The few people who pay more than other are the best customers. Needless to say the discovery pisses them off royally.

BTW, my Super Silencer 460 takes solid 10% less power on the same PC than my Zalman 400B which is not a bad PSU to start from.

That means the Seasonic pays its own price if you use it for a few years constantly.

Thanks!! Just ordered the s12-500. Makes you wonder why Newegg has it at the price they do. Anyway, it says P4/Xenon in the title...will I still be able to use it with a Athlon XP board (I plan on upgrading in the summer but figured I'd get some misc parts out of the way now)

Yes you can use a 24pin power supply with older ATX 1.03 hardware. The 4 extra pins will hang off the side of the 20 pin motherboard connector. Make sure you line it up right because it will only fit one way. If there is an obstruction you could also use the included 24 > 20 pin adaptor.

I'm in; just bought the 500. What a great deal. I called Seasonic USA last night, and they said eWiz was one of their best outlets. I checked Resellers.com and there eWiz was in the top 50 stores. I have been drooling over this Seasonic S-12 500 for months, especially after reading all the great kudos on this product from Zepper and Ribbon. Get'em while they're hottest deal on the net.

The deal for S12-430 is still going on. I added mine to the shopping cart and went to look at other stuff they had (site is new to me). Just as I was about to check out, the price went up 2 bucks! It was @ $74.16 by the time I purchased, which is still a heck of a deal IMO. I did ultimately add one more item to the cart -> Extension Cable For USB 2.0 for $0.61 - who knows, maybe that's a hot deal in itself

Good timing on this one, just upgraded my parents PC with a board that needed a 4 pin connector and their power supply didn't have the 4 pin 12v connector. I needed to cannibalize my backup PCs supply to get them up and running. The 430W Seasonic is perfect for my needs, thanks OP.
