Picked up a 330 watt from the 'egg today. I've had a Super Tornado for years and out of the 10's and 10's of PSUs I've owned its by far the best of em all. Looking forward to the S12's.

I can't decide: the seasonic or an OCZ Modstream 520? what's everyones opinion on which is a better power supply? Quietness is a factor. Anyone know how long this deal is going to last?

How does the 500W's dual 12Vs - 17A and 16A - compare to what's usually required for current setups (SLI or otherwise). For example, the MSI Neo4 manual says "For ATX 12V power connection, it should be greater than 18A". Would this hold up okay?

From what I have read from reviews, the Seasonic may be a better product. It would be a much closer match if you had selected the PowerStream line of PSUs instead of the ModStream which has a bit more of gimmicks. These reviews are for your viewing pleasure...

I'm in the same boat. Kinda decided to get the Modstream 520 over the past few days for $99 from Monarch. But at the same pricepoint, this seems nice, too.

I bit on the 330 watt, lowest price around! My HTPC (A64, 9600, single hd, single optical, etc) dosen't need a large psu, but i've been wanting something quieter and more efficient.

Just a warning, cheapest shipping seems to be around $10-11!

E-Power (except the Tagen Series) is on the Hard Forum Not Recommended PSU list. Not saying that's always the best and most definitive answer, but it's a nice place to look.

So if you take that, and get a Tagen series, I think they start at $80, for me personally, I'd just get the OCZ Modstream for $99 shipped.

Again, just trying to point out some ideas - not trying to start any pissing matches here. I don't knowhardly anything about PSU's and have no first hand knowledge of either of these. I am going to do some more reading on the Seasonics though.

You can't go wrong with either one both review well. But Seasonic reviews better and is built better.
