Yeah, that's the 650w KM3 and only results from JonnyGuru, not the 750w KM3.. I am interested in seeing review results from the Seasonic XP2 660w Platinum

I haven't been able to find a review on the xp2. According to the newegg reviews, the xp2 was supposed to fix the coil whine issue.

If you post on JonnyGuru's site, maybe you can ask okiewolf or JG what the difference is.

It would be nice to see the XP2 sustain or surpass the results from JonnyGuru on the XP model.

I bought the X 650 thinking it was the same model, then I was later informed that this was a newer revision and unfortunately by the JonnyGuru review. Now I'm selling it. Never even used it. Glad I bought the "original" 2009 X 650w yrs ago. Thus my attention to the fine details. Lets hope the new XP2 turns out better than the XP

Psssst......the unit JG tested WAS an XP2.

Look very, very closely at the pic of the box's label on page 1 of the review. The "2" is a superscript number, so while the "2" in the XP2 designation is there in the model number box, it's very small.

Then, on page 2 of the review, in the pic of the ps itself, again the XP2 designation is there, but again the "2" is a superscript notation, so very small and hard to notice.

I do believe the "2" in the XP2 designation refers to the Plat. units that have an output that ends in "60". The first version of the Plat. units from Seasonic had outputs that were "conventional" and ended in "50", not "60".

Glad I just read that it's NOT the same PSU as in the review. This is the XP2 that hasn't been reviewed. It might not be as good as the original like I know some other PSU by them aren't.

AGAIN......WRONG!!!!!!!!!!

Why people depend on others to do their bare minimum of research and never bother to check to see if what's being written is true or not is beyond me. Anyone with a functional eye can plainly see the unit JG tested WAS an XP2 unit, not an XP.

Sheesh.

Interesting. While all the tables on the Jonny Guru display e.g."...... from Seasonic SS-660XP ......" the markings on the actual PSU do say XP with a mathematical square root form after the XP.

The most productive thing to do is what I am doing now and that is PM'ing Oklahoma Wolf over the dependencies.
Thanks for the heads up on this one.

I'm taking the liberty before even getting a reply back from Oklahoma Wolf that this review INDEED was of an XP2. While the tables shown on the Jonny Guru review of Dec 16th 2012 display SS-660XP, the square root moniker after the XP shown in the actual photo follow suit with the photo of the X 650w KM3 model. So this indeed is a typo on the JonnyGuru review of the PSU. And again I made the wrong choice. I should of bought it, lol!

Congrats to the people who did.

Oklahoma Wolf PM'd

I won't be able to resist if this goes on sale again.

It's the holy grail of PSUs.

Good Catch

My unit arrived the day after I ordered. Tax in CA sucks, but shipping times are great.

Agree. What I caught was the mistake on the Jonny Guru review. All the stupid tables on the review state 'XP.' ,,What lead me to believe the model of thought used to create their result tables would be consistent to the PSU reviewed is after I recently bought my second X 650w I went back and looked at the original X 650w 2009 review vs the latest 2013 review of the X 650w KM3 and the tables reflected the coordinating PSU being reviewed (SS-650KM - 2009) (SS-650KM3 - 2013), unlike the tables for the 660 XP2. I could not see this being mistaken, I was wrong.
