Is this a good power supply? Newegg has it for $109... not too sure if its worth it?

I'm planning to run one GTX 670 and possibly a second one as well. Would it be able to support it?

CPU will be Core-i7 . There will be no overclocking.

I actually don't care about modular too much, I feel like I will just end up losing all the cables actually...

Its not 109, its 150. If they were for 109 then everyone who was anyone would snatch them up in a second. They are the best of the best of the best.

They have the $40 coupon off. Im at the checkout page. Should I click buy?

It's 109 and no sales tax for my state.

Can it take the 2x GTX 670s?

Seasonic is the best. Great buy for $110 and more than enough juice for 670 SLI + overclocking to your heart's desire.

I have owned an X750 for the past 18 months and it's great. You will never even come close to maxing out that PSU with you current setup. Mine ran my old rig 24/7 for over a year and has been running my new rig (OC'd 3770K and SLI 670's) without a hitch so you can be sure that most any upgrade you will make short of a triple card setup will run just fine on it for years to come.

I also love how the fan doesn't even start spinning until you reach something like 20-30% of its capacity (can't recall the exact number) so it's basically silent at idle even with most dual GPU rig's.

Yup, just got the SeaSonic X750 for $109.99 from Newegg. Glad I waited until the weekend.

Yeah baby, I am reseaching parts for my new rig. I found this on New Egg while only reseaching feedback. Couldn't pass it up. I just snatched it at $109 also. Came here to let everyone know about the unbeatable deal, but found the thread has already started. You all have until tonight at midnight to jump on it. I wasn't going to buy today but I could passs up $80 off on this gold X series.

Rig under construction: Samsung 830 SSD 256, Win7, Asus 25" LED monitor,Asus DVD burner, Seasonic X750
above all purchased
still need to buy:
Asus P8Z77-V Pro, I7 3770K, Corsair 650D case, Memory to be determined.

Yes, its pretty much one of the best ~700-800W PSUs you can buy, let alone for $109

It could run two GTX580s + an overclocked i& 2600K in one of my past rigs, so yes, you'd be more than safe with two 670s

CPU will be Core-i7 . There will be no overclocking.
That's a shame.

this actually problem I ran into, and I usually don't misplace stuff like this. The good news is that you can always buy replacement cables, otherwise the modularity really is nice, especially if you aren't running a whole bunch of drives.

Peak power consumption of a factory OC 670: 161W

161 *3 = 483W
+ 100W (heavily OC'd Ivy CPU) + 50-70W (the rest)
= around 650W peak.

Yeah, it'd handle 670 Tri-SLI OC alright. Of course, if you built it on LGA2011, peak would around 700W if not more

Curious. Would it be able to run triple SLI GTX670 without any OC?
You'd be better off getting at least an 850W unit. Ideally you want you standard operating load to be within 40-60% of your PSU's rated power output. Using lehtv's example, 650W usage on a 750W PSU is pushing that (87%). While this is technically fine, it's not ideal for maximum longevity or noise.

Noise from three GTX 670's is going to drown the PSU noise easily so that is a non-concern. The 650W load I presented is peak, not an average load you'll see during gaming. Under 600W is realistic and that's under 80%. It's recommended to stay below 80% for longevity's sake. 40-50% is just taking it way, way too safely and that is certainly not needed in a high quality PSU like this. I could understand that principle in lower quality units that can't output their rated wattage continuously.

I joined just to ask one question :-

Where from in Europe?

I've spent all morning trying to get a replacement 20/24 pin mobo power connector for an x650 and I cant find one anywhere. I'm struggling to even find anywhere in the UK that deals with Seasonic.

The last bit of info I read (from h++p://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=54023&start=150) said
One thing i heavily dislike on Seasonic X series (yes, i own a X-750) is that Seasonic doesn't sell replacement cables at all,
Please, make my day

I did, but could only find sata/ata power cables.

Just for anyone else who may be interested, my Mrs finally managed to find a place to get one from.

Sander Electronics stock them, but are bulk distributers and won't deal with the public, but a company called xCase can order from them and pass the items on. If you phone xCase (01908 311 313) and explain what you need they can help.

I have a feeling someone is going to tell me you can buy them over the counter at 'SomeComputerStore'....... but I hope my info helps if you can't

Your PSU is almost certainly within its warranty. Contact Seasonic by email.

I heard a snap a week ago when I was powering on my test rig. One X-750 dead. Wrote off to Seasonic, described the testing procedure, got an RMA and sent the PSU off the same day. I've also corresponded with the EU Seasonic rep -- on a Sunday.

I'd recommend this: take a picture of your cable, send it with an email to Seasonic.

(I would never send you my own X-650 ATX-24 cables: they are powering the rigs that my daughter and I are using at this very moment.)

If you pay for shipping, I might send you mine... e.g., I haven't received my PSU yet tho...

You will need yours. They are not necessarily interchangeable between models.

Not only is it good quality...no one yet mentioned that the PS fan doesn't kick in until it is drawing over 375 watts...meaning that for normal use, it is really quiet. My current Ivy Bridge workstation build included an Antec P280 case to try and keep noise down...and this PS is a natural complement.

I've used it for over a year and it's an excellent PSU. Full modularity is especially nice.

Check the reviews from some time back. Jonny Guru and others were giving it VERY high marks.

Rock solid PSU. I have never heard mine run.

I hear the fan on my X-750 turn on briefly, rev up for a few seconds, then shut down (the fan, not the PSU; that keeps going). That San Ace "Silent" in their always sounds sweet.

I just got mine, There is a very slight medium pitch buzz sound coming out of the PSU. Is that normal?
