Going on my second date tonight, going to see Minority Report.

You guys got any tips for tonight? I don't want to ruin my chances on this one....

Anything else you can do besides holding hands while watching the movie? Any tips on what to say?

I need all the help I can get

Relax, be yourself, and try to do something in addition to just watching the movie, which will allow the two of you to talk and relax in each others' company. Try not to impress her with your 1337 ATOT sk1llz.

Don't choke on your popcorn. This happened to me....ahhh....someone I know once and I, errrr...he went into a hacking fit right in the middle of the movie.

definitly go out for coffee or something before or after... a movie is nice, but when it's just the second date you still really need to work on communication, which is hard in a "quiet" place.

Anyways, best of luck!

Sit way back in the movie theatre then whisper in her ear: "ever done it in a movie theater" then she goes "what?" then you just suavely climb on top of her and start mackin out. You never know, she might like the aggresive type. But if she isn't the aggresive type then...

Just be yourself! and take her somewhere afterwards where you can talk.

have fun.

I will definately try and take her to get an ice cream or something quick before the movie...but any tips on what to do during the actual movie? I know all you can really do is sit there, but holding hands etc...?

Be yourself. Don't try to act like someone else to try to impress her. Let her like you for you.

Save the mashing for the backseat of your car.

Watch the movie, hold her hand, take her out for a latte and a few shots of Jaeger and go for it...

(ignore the jaeger part and you'll do fine)

I wouldn't be worried about what to do IN the movie. Like everyone said, just be yourself. Its hard to do when you know you really want the girl, but you have to do it.

Its funny, because I am going on a second date tonight too. I met this girl last week today, and we ended up in a room by ourselves watching TV. Then we went out on friday night, and it was ok, but kind of sucked because I felt terrible, probably from the food we ate. But we ended up in the same room again and watched TV untill like 2:30 in the morning, laying on the floor. (before you ask, we didn't really do anything, we just layed there, with my arm around her, nice and close. It felt good ). She is going out of town for the weekend starting tomorrow, so we are going to go do something tonight.

Coffee shops are nice. Places by the lake are also nice. I don't know where you live though, so I can't recommend anything.

I've had girls do things like mess around and tickle me etc. That was fun and it tends to relax both parties. However, I will say that this works far better when the girl initiates. It takes the right kind of girl to be receptive to this and the right movie.

Another piece of advice - if I girl tries to tickle you, at least pretend to be ticklish or something

Definitely play along. It can be used as a way to test your playfulness or even to see whether you like her as more then a friend, though I suppose that's a mute point in this case

Agreed. My advice would be to just try to relax. If you're relaxed she'll relax and you'll both have a good time. Make eye contact periodically and smile for no reason at least once.

In my semi-serious opinion, if you can get her to think in her mind... "that poor guy" (meaning you)... you're good to go in the relationship. Do something to put yourself in that situation and see where it takes you, if you're brave enough.

I think if they start doing the tickling thing, they may already feel too comfortable. In many cases, this means that they think it's comfortable because you're "friends" now... see where I'm taking this? This may not be exactly what you're looking for. You want a certain level of discomfort at this stage of a relationship.

But then, what do I know? I took my [now fiance] to see A PERFECT MURDER as our 1st official date movie.

But wouldn't that be the exact point where she thinks of you as a friend and not as a screw?

That's true to a point. But he doesn't want her to think of him as a screw yet either. It is true that girls can fall completely in love with helpless guys... don't you agree ?
