Hey all. Remember when i had to RMA my fx 5700u gold? Probablly not right? well i did. The original card would detect as a 256mb, when it was really a 128mb, and cause an instant crash when XP started to load up.
My new card (5700u gold) has arrived, and i get a new problem with it! Once in every 10 starts (about the same odds as the old card problem) The new problem is random colors all over the screen as soon as i turn my pc on, before BIOS info and everything. The random colors shift as new things (would of) appeared on the monitor. Someone told me it sounds like a memory problem.
My first 5700u that i RMA'ed was a mem problem! Are there video cards no good? I thought my "Gold" 5700u had only the "finest" components for overclocking.
I do not or have ever overclocked this card, although it can go to 500/1000 with no problem, as guarenteed with a Gold version. Any help would be great?
Perhaps i should manually set my AGP voltage? I dont know what it should be at though....1.6 i think?
the vid card has newest BIOS as well as my MOBO.
Any ideas?
