Section of monitor....BLURRED?!?!

I just went out and got the Samsung 753 DynaFlat monitor (17", 16" viewable; 1280 x 1024 max res.; 179.99 w/ rebate).

Got home, installed it. Now, something was not right to my eyes, for it seems in the top-left hand corner of the screen it appears to be much more blurrier and less brighter than other parts of the screen. You can notice this just by looking up occasionally at the menu bar and seeing that "File" and "Edit" are blurry, and consequently you have to re-adjust your eyes. I have the display at a 1024x768 (85mhz) res, and the problem is even more apparent with a 800x600 res, as you can tell that the desktop icons in the area of question are much grainier than the same icons I placed somewhere else on the screen. Now, would this be attributed to the monitor itself? Or possibly the video card (geforce2 MX, 32MB)?
I didn't have a problem like this on my previous monitors. Anyone else experience something like this?

Thanks!

Did you try setting the Moire adjustment on the monitor, also see if you can up the refresh rate.

Blurry sections.....probably the monitor. There are ajustments for this sort of thing...problem is they are inside the case. I'd return to the store and try again.

This may not be so goofy....take your system along for the ride.

Yeah, I found the Moire adjustments...it does affect the "sharpness" of the monitor display, but the section of the monitor is still blurry, and definitely not as sharp as the other sections of the monitor...still a bit "darker".

Yeah, I'm definitely taking this back to Best Buy...Gee, I hope the rough transit home didn't cause this.

This is very likely fixed by your monitor's controls. Check if you have a "purity" control which allows you to adjust each of the four quadrants of the monitor indepedently. That will probably fix it.

I just bought a 955DF dynaflat and I'm having a problem with the entire one inch or so section on the left side of the moniter being blurry. I tried every control on earth and the thing is still there. Along with being blurry the image is really "shaky" on that setion too. Its going back to best buy in the morning.
