I built 2 new Haswell computers in summer 2013 but for some reason secure boot would never work. I would finish the Windows 8 install (legal standalone version), open Windows Powershell as administrator, type "Confirm-SecureBootUEFI", and it would always say "False".
Windows was always installed in UEFI mode. I tried reinstalling after disabling CSM, loading default Secureboot keys, and updating the BIOS but it was always false.
Computer 1
i5 4670, Gigabyte GA-H87M-D3H
Samsung 840 240gb SSD
Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2013 model)
Asus DRW-24B1ST DVD drive
Gigabyte 770 2gb
Computer 2
i5 4670, Intel DH87RL
Intel 335 120gb SSD
Corsair Vengeance 4gb (2011 model)
LG DVD Drive (forgot the model)
I read all these stories about people who get the "Secure Boot isn't configured correctly" warning, or not being able to boot due to Secure Boot, but I've never seen any of this.
