Seeking for a 8" Video card for gaming

Hi, I need a card which fits my case, and I cant change it. I like it too much.
The problem is that anything longer than 8.25" doesent fit. If it has a PCI Express connector, it must be maximum 8".
What video card can I get?
currently I have a 8600GTS (really old) that fit well.
I tried a 5770 but googled and its longer. Unless some special version which I dont think exists.

Is there any way that you could modify your case at all to accomodate an 8.25" card in your PCI-express slot? The GTX 550 Ti is 8.25" long, and the 560 is around 8.5".

Below that point, you'd basically be looking at HTPC video cards.

Edit: The Radeon HD 7750 would fit. It's actually less than 7" long.

I cant modify my case, thanks for the info about all those 7770. Ill try to test a 210mm 5770 so I can maybe squeeze it to fit !

take into account the PCI-e power cords. if it is going in horizontally, then you might have to get an even shorter card. IIRC the 8600gt you have doesnt require one.

however if you were to find a card that connects the PCI-e power vertically on the top of the card, then you wouldnt have to worry.

How handy with a soldering iron are you? The 460 would fit at 8.25" if you remove the PCIe plugs, straighten the pins and solder them facing out the back of the board.

The 7750 would probably be a better choice anyway though.

The 460 is out of my reach because here in Argentina it costs 290 dolars. same for the 7850.

The 8600GTS that I have has the 6 pin connector, and its horizontally oriented.

Ill be looking for 5770 or 550Ti that maybe can fit in a minimalist PCB version.

7750 is about the same speed as a 5770, but more expensive... but if it fits, it may be worth the extra over a card that doesn't fit.

Doesn't need a PCIe connector for power, so you don't have to worry about that orientation at all.
