Seeking Peer Review

I have submitted a non-provisional patent (NPP) with my attorneys assistance and I wish to seek peer review so that I might quote them during negotiations to sell my patent.

In short I have a new hardware form of data storage that is cross functional upon existing and theoretical memory storage methods and holds far more data per inch2. Shelf life, read life, and power requirements are far less than existing methods. However it is slower thanexisting methods. it is ideal, I think, for longterm data storage.

Im sorry you fail to tell us anything about this type of storage... or tell us anything which shows us your on a proper track.

I welcome you to our forum, but can i ask why your sharing this without stating anything on what your sharing.

As a patent attorney I would warn against any public disclosure until you check with your own attorney.

As a non-patent attorney I would like for you to give us as many details as possible on this solution before we can proceed further.

Not only that, but shelf life and read life are far less than existing methods. I don't see those as pluses.

LOL

this would be a very very big problem...

The shelf life should be in excess of 20 times of current tech at minimum, simple mistatement. Energy requirements are only when used, and costs will be substantially less than existing for manufacture (very cheap to produce in bulk)

My patent attorney cleared me to seek peer review so that is fine, I have a Patent Pending and am secure he says.

The read time is indeed worse (for larger files, smaller files should exhibit far less problems) and that is why this new method is ideal for longterm storage. In fact if one were to compress first, then use my hardware version, one could see tremendous size inch2 savings in content density, mattering on the entropy of the origional data.

I am seeking those who are seen as experts in data storage, data compression, and similar fields.

Sorry for delays in replying, it is a suddenly busy day compared to expectations.

Sir, my attorney did say to get peer review, and another I trust stressed this as well. Get my properties secured from the banditss, then let people know what sort of things hide inside big shiny chests

So I am seeing if anandtech has some experts who will take some time to review my intelectual creation

Ah good. Can you disclose the application number? We could then post a link to the application, assuming it's published by now?

Its a not listed til the full patent submission. currently a Non Provisional Patent (NPP) which means the patent number will not bring up the patent. The NPP status is why my lawyer wants peer review soonest.

He'd be at risk to lose that patent.

If you are serious and can provide some kind of credentials I may have some people that are capable of extreme peer review (DoD, etc types). PM me or just use my email on file here.

Also anyone know any publications I can seek out? IEEE is the one I know of, but I could su mit to others as well.

What about paid whitepaper publishing as well? Is that a normal industry practice?

There are services you can hire to do a "prior art" search for you. But they will need more details of what to search for, and sometimes don't really "get" the invention and end up searching for something that is a bit different than your true invention.

I like using Google Patents to search, but you may need to be flexible in the search terms and use alternative language/synonyms:

https://www.google.com/?tbm=pts

A great strategy is to use the so-called "forward/backward" searching. You see, each patent includes a list of references that were cited against it, and each patent will also be linked to other patents to which it is cited against.

So what you do, is when you find a somewhat relevant patent or published application, you take a look at all of its linked patents, including those cited against it and those it's cited against, and typically iterate that process till you get tired or run out of funding.

OhI am not looking for prior art. I know this has not been made before me.

I am seeking peer review via proffessional publications and/or via experts in compression, data storage and/or encryption.

I keep abreast as I can via google groups, Technologyreview and other tech news sites. This is the first time I have ever needed peer review however. I have found that some sites want cash to publish a whitepaper and I am unsureifto trust those. I can most certainly afford it, but I hate the idea of being frauded.

I believe you. However, consider this hypothetical: someone has recently come up with the very same invention as you, but some time ago. He is also being very secretive and it's not on the market yet, but he submitted the full application for patent and it's published and will come up in a patent search, but perhaps not in the literature etc. yet? That is very unlikely, but it's a good way to cover your bases.

In the past there are famous examples where different inventors that were geographically isolated from each other arrived at the same invention, and had to fight over who came first. I think even very basic things, like calculus, the light bulb, etc...

But to my point: how have you arrived at the knowledge that nobody else has invented your invention before? Is that based on commercial availability or other sources? They might not cover all the bases.

3 reasons

1) I keep abreast in the field, as outlined. I am aware of the current status of Race Track memory by IBM, HP's Memristor, and new advances in RAM that have occured. I have in the past debated on compression and encryption forums as well.

2) I did a comprehensive USPTO search based upon all possible trigger words and read all even lightly plausible patents, finding none.

3) Technology was not ready for this as early as even plausibly 1 year ago.

I am very certain that this is indeed new

I got your email and so far everyone I forwarded to has laughed and said you haven't provided enough for a peer review.

You have started this back in 2006 and on the forums you posted on got critical feedback yet you never clarified.

What has changed now?

If you don't want to share the info, just do it yourself.

The difference is I am not depressed, I suffer no errors in math now. Yes I had a period where I was depressed from losing my son.

The thing is, where you could have had my good side you wont. You will look back on this day wondering what kindness I would have repaid kindness with. A better revenge from someone about to be made a 1%er can not be found. Oh I forgive you, but I also want you to learn the lesson, so that you change.

I make $60,000 a year now, my life is recovered, then I was living with friends, no income, no hope. Things change.

I had no problem putting money down for a NPP, I will pay for the full patent in a few months if I have to.

Enjoy, hats off for successfully trolling, and to you specifically I wave goodbye.

WTF?!?

I sent out what you wanted to a team of storage developers. I shared what they responded to me and came here to let others know.

This not OT. Thanks for the attacks.

Anyhow

The "Physical Hard Drive" (PHD) will be out soon enough, I found a source of contacts. I will be learning where to submit via my new contacts. Even if costs pas $20,000 I will recoup in the sale.

Naw when you came back with 2006 you tipped your hand.

Is it not normal for people to research especially scientists? I never looked you up. My friends did and it was sort of embarrassing now.

You aren't looking for a Peer Review, you want to brag and moan.
