Dreamcast rocks, i just got mine today that i bought on the FS/FT board. Although Capcom VS SNK is too easy, i beat it already using two man team: ken/ryu, geese is one cheap ass, espcially his super move.

Hey Auyong, I saw that there already is a modchip for the PS2. I was wondering if anyone has tried this out; most of the games out already are on CD-Rom, not DVD, so the copying is possible.

There is a chip called the neo 2 chip out for the ps2. You can play the ps1 games by using a swap method. To play the ps2 games, you would need a gameshark. Just wait for a better chip.

I hope I am the only one having trouble with twec! I ordered on Tuesday of this week and they still have not shipped it. It still says "in process". There is no number to call them (very fustrating) all you can do is send them an email. Is anyone else having trouble???

Phone Number 518-452-1242 . I believe the extension is 7649, but not 100% sure. You can always ask the receptionist if that's not it.

I just called them at 518-452-1242, and they did not know when they would be back in stock. My order still says "in-process" even though I told them to cancel the order last week. I think there will be better deals as time goes on. All of the stores I have checked seem to have a lot of them even at the $99 price.

Anyone get a shipment confirmation like I did?

Shipping Method: USPS
Location: 03 Status: Shipped (2/19/01)

It has been 7 days and it didn't come in the USPS yet... USPS sucks at tracking, especially since they didn't send it priority mail. Any ideas on "Location 03"? I'm in Seatte.

Thanks.

Never mind, my DC showed up today. "USPS" does not equal "UPS", but UPS is who delivered it

Princejoe, I am pretty sure they will send you one once it is in stock. I just didn't want to wait for it. I already have one and was just looking for a good deal for a second one. I just feel that Sega will want to move these out quickly and I feel there are plenty available right now. There is another deal at jcpenny.com and use code "sppvem" which will get you 25% off. I think you end up around $75 plus tax. You can also pick it up at a retail store and save the shipping. If your not in a hurry, I bet there will be better package deals down the road. i.e. system with more games and accessories for $99. Good luck!

First of all, Finding backups is easy. Just got to know where to go. If you want to know, send me an email. This is only to back up y our games, not for pirating. Pirating sucks cause that just prevents good games from being made. Second, for all those that are into anime, Dreamcast has both gundam and macross games out. I just played macross m3 and it's awesome. Great graphics. Third, it's easy to play japanese and american games on the dreamcast if you have a boot disc. remember, this isn't pirating since you already own the dreamcast and the game.

Oh yeah, the PS2 mod chip is out and there is about 30 games on the internet to download for back ups purposes only.

oh yeah, one more thing, Virtua tennis rocks.

techb@rgains.com posted a 25% coupon. So that brings it down to $75. Wow!

Also, with the current best buy deals thats a small investment for such a great system...

Okay, I know this may be asking for a flame, but I just thought people should know...

I've been wanting a dreamcast for a while but have very little money. Even though $75 for a console is an excellent deal that I could afford, the price of extras (controller, vmu, etc.) would bump up the total amount to more than I want to spend. So after patrolling the forums for a week and a half and not finding anything better, I decided to try e*bay. After missing out on a NICE sports package (winner was $5 over my top bid), I finally scored a great deal last night...$93 for a system with 1 controller, vmu, and 6 games. I don't know yet how this is going to work out, but I thought people might want to take this route into consideration. Also, I hear Funcoland is selling used ones for $70 and $10 for a used controller or vmu.

you got yourself a great deal there annihilator. I've tried that route myself getting a used Playstation. It came with a mod chip, 15 games(10 are original Jap and US games, the remaining are backup games), 2 memory cards and 2 controllers. Guess how much? $65!

Thats interesting, I have never seen any good deal for consoles on Egay or Yahoo. I just looked on Yahoo auctions and there are people asking $300 for a dreamcast (used) with a few games. I wouldn't have the nerve to ask $300 for something used that you can buy at any store for $99 new.
Do you suppose some fool actually bids on that stuff???
