s-video cables, and i think memory cards, are on sale @ my local 'the' wal-mart...
in nebraska, so i would think it's probably everywhere?

I've been in two wal-marts recently, one in Rochester, MN and the other in Dekalb, IL and neither of them have anything related to dreamcast, not even an extra VMU or controller, I think wal-mart is just trying to get rid of any left overs that they might still have in stock. Same thing goes for my local target, stinks hearing about all these great deals when my local stores only have new PS2 crap instead of the good old cheap DC stuff.

i would think it's national, because the s-video cables are $3.00 @ wal-marts in the midsouth, and i know the jump packs have been on clearance here and at targets here.

good luck, and LOOK around CAREFULLY. i've found these in the phones section, computer section, anyplace, sometimes completely outside of ELECTRONICS

edit: and scan it YOURSELF if at all possible -- walmart has scanners now also

This seems to be national. I picked up a bunch of stuff in late April, there isn't much left here in southeastern, MA. Whats left of the older Dreamcast games is still on clearance. As mentioned most of the other stuff is on endcaps or a shelf somewhere. Picked up older games for $5-$9, tremor packs (madcatz-$5, interact tremorpak+ w/memory-$3) controller extention and s-video cables-$3. Keep looking i have noticed some new stuff in lately, mostly cables. Locally they created a clearance section in the main aisle in front of the electronics dept. That reminds me thay had a Phillps 30hr Tivo display model for $125, hmmm.

Just got back from the Palm Bay, FL store:

MadCatz tremor packs $2.00, about 10 left that I could see.
Astropad controllers $5.00, about 6 or 8 left.
RFU's $8.00, tons left.
S-Video cables $3.00, maybe 2 left.

That's all the Dreamcast stuff I saw. The tremor packs and RFU's were on the clearance aisle, the s-video cables were in the glass case by the games and the controllers were end stocked just outside the electronics area.

Yes, scanned at $5.00. The boxes weren't individually tagged but there was a clearance sign that also said $5.00.

The jump pack is a plugin for the controller that adds force feedback (vibration) for games that support it..

I think the astro pads have a reputation for burning out your controller port on your DC. I have a friend that has 1, but he never plays his DC much, but I've heard reports on IGN's forums that some of the astro pads aren't good for your DC.

really, nothing is good for the controller ports on the dc :<
they copied the worst parts of the psx -- ie. th controller port problem, the overheating
the only innovation at sega comes from the games division

Today I stopped at a Walmart I have never been to before. They had Gamesharks for Dreamcast on clearance, marked down from $39.99 to $10.00. Had some games stuffed in the case but they weren't priced and there wasn't much else.

 

I went Tuesday and saw the Sega Smashpack for 9.99. It's $40 everywhere else I looked. I should have grabbed it.

BTW, if you can still get one of those s-video cables for $3.00, do it! I grabbed one thinking it would make a small difference in picture quality. I was shocked at the improvement it made overall.
