Don't you have to buy the system to get the controller for 16.99? Or can you just go to BB and get it for 16.99? Thanks

This is indeed a very good deal. Not trying to crap the thread, but I think you can buy generic ones for even less, although I had gotten on this deal myself. Anyone know of a site that sells those?

EVERYONE WHOS LOOKING AT THIS DEAL...

Easybuy200 sega controllers $14.75

THE CONTROLLERS ARE CHEAPER HERE!!!!!

never get the generic controllers...they really suck... the joysticks get mested up so they dont work as well as the real SEGA controllers. I have 4 controllers 1 which is generic and me and my friends always fight about who is gonna get the crappy controller which we call "big red".

pay the extra 10$ for the SEGA brand and now with the controllers $14 or whatever its a great deal.

Sega controllers have four round buttons and two thumb triggers. This is completely unacceptable for fighting games, where you might have to hold down two or three buttons at the same time to pull off special moves. Trying to do so on a Sega controller is next to impossible. However, most third party controllers have six round buttons (two of the buttons mimicking the thumb trigger signals) as well as the conventional thumb triggers in place. Of course, the best way to play fighting games is to get an arcade stick, but if you can't afford one, a third party controller with six round buttons is the next best thing. Sega controllers totally suck.

As for third party controllers "blowing up the Dreamcast" yeah right.

The sale is supposed to start on tomorrow, but I talked to the manager tonight at almost 9:00 pm and he just let it slide.

I didn't say anything about generic controllers "blowing up" the dreamcast. I was saying my friends have experiences with generic controllers shorting out the controller ports of the dreamcast

Yea forgot to say this starts tomorrow, and easybuy2000 looks like a good price but remember you gotta pay shipping and wait for them. Plus them seem a little fishy, i mean look under boot disk, they sell the utopia book disk for $7! Common its a 1meg download that anyone with a cdr can get for free

Wagner, they aren't "thumb triggers." If you've ever played a Dreamcast before, you would immediately tell that it's impossible to use your thumbs on the triggers. They are index triggers. You use your left thumb for the D-Pad or Analog Pad and your right thumb on the buttons, thus leaving your index fingers to use the triggers. Although an arcade stick is superior to any standard console controller, the Sega controller isn't half-bad for fighting games. Gotta love the 6-button controller for Genesis though

Shipping at bestbuy.com was only 0.99 for 1 controller
compared to
easybuy2000.com which charges 4.75 for 1 controller.

Is the sale going to be good for online shopping too?

easybuy2000 is indeed legit, I know 2 people who have ordered from them successfully. The best buy deal is still a good deal in my opinion, because it's worth the extra $2.25 to get the gamepad right away. You would have to pay shipping with easybuy, but you might not have to pay tax, whereas at best buy you definately have to pay tax.

I wanted the Blue Controller~> Are the prices down on the blue controller too at the stores? Because it's not priced down online.

ScAndal,

I don't know about the adapter you are referring to, but I have the Dream Connection 3in1 from Level Six I got it about a month ago and it is great. You can use Playstation controllers, but also Saturn controllers and PC keyboards on the Dreamcast. I don't have any Saturn controllers, but I now only use my PSX Dual Shock controllers and I use a cheap PC keyboard for online stuff.

Here is the link to the product:

Dream Connection 3in1

This is another adapter that is like the one I have (I don't have experience with this one):

DC Connection 3in1

Kenji4861,

When I took a blue controller to the counter, it rang up $29.99.
I showed the clerk the ad.
He said it is the grey controller.
I said it doesn't state what color.
He said, "I guess you're right."
And I got the blue controller for $16.99.
Results may vary.
