Yep, the OP should never watch another episode of Seinfeld if the humor of that comment escaped him. Kramer is the most irresponsible character in Seinfeld. What was that line that Jerry says about Kramer being completely worthless yet falling ass backwards into money?

Edit: I was mistaken, it was George talking about Kramer going to fantasy camp.

"Kramer goes to a fantasy camp. His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down two-thousand dollars to live like him for a week. Do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors, and have sex without dating, that's a fantasy camp."

I didn't know television was in such a horrible state nor do i care about the state television is in.

I don't need a laugh track to cue me when to laugh or not and i am very good at seeing subtle humor when it is present. Such was not the case in the scene i cited in the OP. Be careful you are borderline castigation.

Assuming that the rest of the scene wasn't cut for syndication (or editing before the first showing), I'd say that the joke is that Kramer is oblivious to the fact that he is "strange." He really thinks he's more responsible than someone who actually has a job.

I'd put the DVD in and see what the commentary says, but I think you're a tool so I won't bother.
