SELECT'ing data from Microsoft Access

I have an ODBC connection to an Access database (Yeah, I know ) that I am trying to select data out of. One of the fields has two spaces (Who knows why) between two words. I get the dreaded "Too few parameters, expected 1" error when trying to do a select. here is the query:

SELECT tblAllEnhancements.[Assignee id] FROM tblAllEnhancements

The name is from a cut and paste of the table design in Access. I can access fields with one space between the words, but not this one. Anyone have any ideas?

If you have the connection, just open Access via the DB.
Use the query wizard to then get what you need.
You can look at the query source afterwards

As I'm sure you have figured out, that error almost always indicates an incorrect field name, because access stupidly thinks you want it to be an input parameter (since in access itself that's how you can specify input parameters).

If you change it to one space in both access and your code it works? Is it possible there is some other typo, e.g. assignee spelled incorrectly in access?

Thanks for your input guys. You are right torpid, the error is very annoying (well, Access in general is quite annoying.) I made the query in design view in Access, and then switched to SQL view and executed it and it ran fine. I copied and pasted that query and tried it through my ODBC connection and I get the error :disgust:

Is that really the full query? I created an access db with a field name that had two spaces and was able to select data using ODBC that way.
