Sit in a quiet room. Concentrate on your breathing by taking a deep breath, hold it for a count of five, and then release it slowly. Keep doing this until your attention wanders. Stop doing the exercise for awhile and then start again.

If you practice this exercise regularly, you will learn to direct your attention.

Now we're getting there.

The committee that's in charge of classes made my Easter Philosophy prof. stop teaching the students how to meditate. He said they felt it was "empowering" students too much. Like students were becoming enlightented and that was bad for some reason.

I'm glad we've already gone over some postures/mudras.

when i was a christian and attending church, this one lady that was a little...strange, came up to me one day when i was in the AV booth with a buddy of mine. started going on about how she knew when her computer was and wasnt going to work because she could sense some kind of energy field from it that was positive or negative.

I first learned of this concept from a friend who referred me to The Haven. I attended a course there that was a real eye opener and was my first experience with sensing energy from others. Very Very Cool.
