Sell 980ti and get 1070?

I just got a killer deal on a 980ti local if sold I could make a decent profit. I was considering selling it and paying a bit more for a 1070. I'm gaming at 1440p. Question is it worth the hassle/risk of selling and having to add $50-100 more?

If I had owned the 980ti for a while and paid full price I wouldn't even consider it.

The 1070 is great if you are doing VR. Otherwise, its a bit of a wash.

If you overclock at all the 980 Ti OCs better and will pull ahead of the 1070 in terms of max OC vs max OC in most scenarios.

Unless you need the new Pascal tech or 8 GB of VRAM for whatever reason, best to stick with the 980 Ti.

Meh, don't bother. If you were saying 1080, I'd tell you to go for it, but I wouldn't bother with the 1070, especially if it's a nicer 980 Ti that can overclock well.

Don't do it unless you put more money with your sale and buy a 1080.

It's a EVGA SC reference cooler. I've never overclocked a GPU is it worth it with this card? I think I'll just hold on to it till later next year and maybe go with a 1080 or possibly whats out then.

Next year big Pascal will be available and will be a bigger upgrade than 1080.

I own both a GTX 1080 and a GTX 980TI SC. The 1080 wins in benchmarks but both cards are extremely fast.

I think as the numerous features of Pascal are developed it will increase it's lead over the 980TI.
