Sell more. Spend less. Grow your business.

Google Checkout is a fast, convenient checkout process that complements your existing process. Customers who use Checkout can buy from you quickly and securely, using a single username and password ? and you can use Checkout to process their orders and charge their credit or debit cards.

And until 2008, you can process all your Checkout orders for FREE.

finally! I hope this will start some movement toward anti-ebay. ebay is too big of a monopoly now.

Have saved $2500. plus since I started using Google last July, compared to that other joke of a place was charging.

I want to sell a hard drive. But I don't run a website. Can I still use Google Checkout to do that?

Put up your Hard Disk on Sale on Google Base and use Google Checkout for payment method.

Yes. One of the big misconceptions is that you have to run a store on the web to use it. Not true. You can invoice and receive payments through Google's Front End with no presence on the web.

Google Base is nice. UI is simple and well designed. System response is snappy. Once this service gains traction, I think eBay will bite the dust, which is about time for the very mediocre service they have been providing despite high profits.

Cool, I will give it a try. Am sick of eScrew+PayExtortion with their outrageous fees and a joke for Customer Service.

I sell a handful of things on ebay but most buyers won't use this service, and ebay won't let you post the Google Checkout demo link on it's listings so that buyers are more comfortable with using the service. And I can't even begin to describe the frustration and nuisance that Paypal has offered me over the years.

Ebay, you're going down as soon as Google promotes their (Google Base) store

I use my handle, but you could use your name or anything else you'd like. It is what will appear on their credit card statement.

the smartest move ebay ever made was creating paypal. that said, the fee's are so outrageous im ready to ditch paypal completely and still use ebay. i dont care if they dont want me to, the hell with them ill just put a note "ask seller for payment options"

im pretty sure ebay did not create paypal. they bought paypal right after the crooks(paypal) settled their class action lawsuit.

How do you do that? I mean what do you list as your payment options in your item description? I would think that most eBayers don't have or know what GCO is, how do you get them to use it?

You send them a manual invoice after the auction, I am working on making a end of email that links to my website, it's still in the works.

Processed 75k in the past couple months, saved around $2300 in fees.

Just signed up so I can send email invoices to my customers. One negative, however, is that it looks like the customer must create a Google Checkout account before they can complete the transaction. Is this true?
